"Michael House -Vegan B&B"

We enjoyed a very nice couple of days at a Vegan B&B in North Cornwall, called "Michael House", which was just a mile from Tintagel in the village of Treknow. It has views towards the sea and the cliffs around Trebarwith Strand. Very scenic indeed and the B&B was wonderful.  Us being Vegans, we really have to stay at a Vegan place for our diet.
But I highly recommend that place as it had great food and was very comfy indeed.
We managed to get around a bit in the short time we had there. Places included "Port Issac" where the TV Series "Doc Martin" is filmed and filming was taking place the week we were there.
Also we visited "Padstow", "Wadebridge" and "Boscastle", where I was actually at in 2004 when they had the flood! Though I managed to get away just in time....though it was a very memorable day indeed.
Second day we drove down to "Roseland" to visit a couple of our friends who live in "Gerrans", a quiet village overlooking the sea. Then we went on to "St Ives" the popular seaside town where there are many Art Galleries, including the Tate Gallery in St Ives. The brightness seems very intense around that town, so no wonder artists use St Ives for their work. The beaches are very clean and sandy. We made time to stay for a lovely meal at the Vegetarian Resturant on Carbis bay, called "The Bean Inn", which has lovely food all hand prepared. Not a Burger in sight! Lovely!!.  Then we had the long drive back up to Tintagel.  We'll certainly return oneday to that B&B and to see more of North Cornwall, which is very rugged but the scenery around the cliffs and beaches cannot be bettered I think.
Especially in such good weather as we were lucky to have had!
